A former employee of a Miami social services center was arrested and is facing multiple charges. Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle on Friday announced the arrest of 34-year-old Tashia Raymond-Stackhouse, a former employee of Camillus House, on charges of exploiting an 84-year-old veteran residing at the facility.The arrest was made by members of the State Attorney’s Office Elderly and Vulnerable Adult Unit. Raymond-Stackhouse faces multiple charges, including one count of exploitation of an elderly/disabled person in an amount over $10,000 but less than $50,000, one count of grand theft on a person over 65 in an amount over $10,000 but less than $50,000, one count of organized scheme to defraud in an amount under $20,000, and one count of fraudulent use of personal identification information.“It is always incredibly sad when someone sees the elderly, or the homeless, or our veterans as potentially exploitable targets,” Fernandez Rundle said. Police are searching for the driver of a red sedan that was involved in a single-vehicle traffic crash in Tamarac that sent one person to the hospital. Sinister symbols found at a South Florida high school again.Swastikas were scrawled on the bathroom walls of Western High in Davie.Summer camp is now being held at the school. A former New Hampshire state representative who is one of two people charged in a child pornography investigation waived her appearance Friday afternoon in a Nashua courtroom as she faces charges of distributing child sexual abuse images. Nashua police said 39-year-old Stacie Laughton, of Derry, New Hampshire, was arrested in the case on Thursday. Her arrest came on the same day that police arrested Lindsay Groves, 38, of Hudson, New Hampshire. In a separate announcement, the US Attorney’s office for Massachusetts said Groves is accused of taking nude pictures of children at the Creative Minds Early Learning Centers day care, where she was an employee. A New Hampshire woman was arrested Friday in connection with the Jan. 6 US Capitol riot, a spokesperson for the FBI’s Boston division announced. The FBI said Cindy Young of Bristol, New Hampshire was taken into custody without incident Friday morning Young is accused of participating in the riot, according to court documents. A home for the elderly and disabled in Pembroke went up in flames on Center Street early Friday morning, officials said.Two firefighters and a police officer were hurt while rescuing people from the fire at the building overnight. They were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Officials reported that nine people were displaced by the fire.People who live nearby said the fire happened fast.“A little heartbreaking because I know the people that live in this building.
