ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – An employee at a Richmond Heights gas station is charged with assault for allegedly bloodying a delivery driver last week.According to a report filed by the Richmond Heights Police Department, the crime took place on June 15 at the Mobil Station near the intersection of Clayton Road and Big Bend Boulevard.Police arrived to find the victim slumped over next to a delivery truck, with blood on the back of his head. The victim told officers a station employee attacked him.A witness reported seeing the employee strike the driver in the head while he was in the back of the delivery truck. The victim fell from the truck and struck his head on the pavement and was knocked unconscious. Family members and friends are sharing their memories of a Southern California couple killed in a shooting at an EDM festival in Washington state over the weekend.Josilyn Ruiz, 26, and Brandy Escamilla, 29, both of whom were from the Los Angeles area, were attending Beyond Wonderland near the city of George on Saturday night when a gunman opened fire on a crowd in an area where people were camping, authorities said.Escamilla died of a gunshot wound to the head, and Ruiz died from a gunshot wound to her torso, the Grant County Coroner said. Two other people were wounded.The alleged gunman, identified as James M. Kelly, 26, was shot by law enforcement officers and survived. Pedestrian Collision on Mohawk Street Left One DeadBAKERSFIELD, CA (June 22, 2023) – Early Friday morning, a man was killed in a pedestrian crash on Hageman Road.Officers responded to the collision on May 19th, at around 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of Hageman Road and Mohawk Street.Upon arrival, police determined that a vehicle traveling westbound on Hageman hit a man walking outside the crosswalk. 37-Year-Old Fresno Worker Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident near Mannie AvenuePARLIER, CA (June 22, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Juan Ambriz was killed in a work accident on Bethel Avenue.Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 9:00 a.m., near Manning Avenue.Per reports, a worker operated a boom lift arm that struck live electrical wires. As a result, the involved worker was immediately electrocuted.The PG&E turned off the electricity before anyone could approach the man. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, the male worker was pronounced dead at the scene. OAKLAND — A Bay Area man was released from jail last month after pleading no contest to vehicular manslaughter in the 2020 crash that killed a 34-year-old pedestrian in Alameda, court records sow.Justin Benton, 42, of Alameda, pleaded no contest in April to a count of vehicular manslaughter in the death of Wansiri Panyapong.
