KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Hudson Valley Jazz Festival is returning for its 14th year in August. The festival takes places in various locations around the area from August 9 to 13. CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Nearly a decade after Dennis Drue was locked up for the deaths of two Shen students, their parents are visiting the memorial gardens on school grounds. They expressed their emotions and shared their thoughts as the man who killed their kids is now back in the community. MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. -- A woman is under arrest after driving into oncoming traffic to avoid officers Monday. Among the felony charges that Desirea Thompson, 37, faces are resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, and property damage.Police saw a 2013 gray Ford Fusion going south on McKelvey Road in Maryland Heights Monday with no license plates. The driver unsuccessfully tried to duck into a driveway to avoid the patrolling officer. $400,000 in watches stolen in St. Louis jewelry heist The car then swerved in and out of traffic in an attempt to ditch the officers. Police say the driver was speeding through the 35 mph zones. The car also sped through a 25 mph school zone. The car did not stop when officers tried to pull it over.The driver then went into oncoming traffic on Dorsett Road. That is when the Ford Fusion struck another vehicle. ST. LOUIS - Police have arrested a man accused in the shooting death of an Indiana man at a Downtown St. Louis hotel last weekend. Prosecutors have charged Arthur Ross Jr., 20, with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the investigation. $400,000 in watches stolen in St. Louis jewelry heist The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the America's Best Value Inn in the 1100 block of Lumiere Place. When police arrived to the scene, they found the victim lying in a stairwell after he was shot in the chest. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Kevin Anderson from Indianapolis, Indiana, was rushed to a hospital, but died from his injuries. Investigators believe the shooting happened after a confrontation between Anderson and Ross, though it's unclear what exactly led up to it. Two separate airliners were forced to abort landings at San Francisco International Airport last week after pilots spotted a Southwest Airlines jet taxiing across runways where planes had been cleared to land.The close call occurred on May 19, when an inbound United Airlines plane got as low as a few hundred feet over San Francisco Bay, before pilots saw the Southwest jet on the same runway.
